Are you looking for Friesian horses for sale? Then Stal Okkema is the right choice for this beautiful breed. We offer you a wide range of Frisian geldings, stallions, mares and much more. On average, we have around 35 horses on steel. Preferably, a horse is clinically inspected, but you can also have it x-rayed. We love the horse trade. This is evident from the fact that we started 20 years ago from a hobby. We can now call ourselves an expert and we have various animals for sale.
About our Friesian horses
Did you know that the Friesian horse is the oldest native purebred horse in our country? The Frisian was already known in the 13th century and they have been used for more than 3000 years. Even the Romans appreciated this breed. Not only mares and geldings are for sale, but also foals. Some features are:
- It is a graceful looking horse with a proud posture and a compact, strong body
- Hair: the mane is long, full and wavy (as well as the tail)
- Head: the Frisian breed has a fine height, the ears are short and pointed
- Neck: long, slightly curved and set on a high neck
- Shoulders: These are strongly developed
- Legs: are relatively short, have long hair and a fetlock
- Color: almost always black without markings. A small ball is overlooked, but markings are actually prohibited. Sometimes a rare brown variety occurs.
- Height at the withers: between 1.55 and 1.70 meters
