Hammelton is a super sweet, affectionate gelding. He does everything for the people who take care of him. He really likes attention and radiates calm. He loves to cuddle and has a lot of patience. You can tack him up, wash and clip him while standing loose. He really has a golden character. He is very good behaving at the farrier and easy to load.
Hammelton is a super horse to work with. He has a very nice pace while riding him; it’s like ‘cruise controlling’ on a horse. He responds very well to the leg, easy transitions also to canter and also responds very quickly to the voice. He is light in the hand and has a good canter. Hammelton competed at L1 dressage level and we’re getting him ready for the L2/M1 level. He already knows the walk-canter transitions, backwords and leg-yielding. Also Hammelton is super on trailrides, he is very safe on his own but also in a group. He is super social and sweet with other horses, he is not dominant but also not submissive.
Hammelton is easy to train by every rider of driver. Our interns also train him. He is super safe in traffic and super safe for carriage. He is used to single, double and four in hand. We also ride him with a neckrope!
