Before buying the gelding, we always have a clinical examination done, so that you can be sure that the animal is completely in order. You can also choose to have an X-ray examination carried out. The characteristics of the breed
To be allowed to register Friesian horses in the Friesian Horse Studbook, a gelding must meet certain characteristics. Only jet black horses are admitted. A Friesian gelding that is known to breed with gray or chestnut horses is therefore not included in the studbook. Some characteristics are:
- The height is 1.55 to 1.70
- The color is jet black (other colors are even prohibited)
- The animal may also not have markings
- Long wavy men and tail
- Little bastard
- Blue-colored hooves
